Prefer to take about 3-4 baths in a week and that too in lukewarm water. Always insert your elbow in the water to check the temperature of the water. The temperature of the water should be comfortable for the baby hence keep it in mind. Always do an oil massage of your baby and make sure after the bath all the oil should be washed out. The monsoons have moisture and humidity in the air, hence there is greater tendency of developing rash and insect bite. So prefer your baby to take bath when you feel your baby is dirty.
Massaging your baby
You can continue to massage your baby as it will keep the baby active during the monsoon season. Just avoid any excessive oil residual. While bathing your cute little one, make sure all excess oil is just washed off.
Clothing for your little one
Always prefer light cotton clothes for your babies this monsoon. As there is sudden change in the temperatures, make sure that you have extra clothes handy so that in case you can cover with a blanket in case the temperature falls or you can remove it in case the temperature rises. Avoid any bright neon colors of clothing as it might attract more insects and can cause increased incidences of insect bites. In order to avoid insects, burn an insect repellent in an adjoining room as the flames of the insect repellent might not be safe for your new born.
Nutrition for your baby
A very safe method for your baby is formula food. Keep the food fresh and always look for signs such as food odor, color or even taste before you give it to your baby. Keep your baby active this monsoon.
