Prefer to take about 3-4 baths in a week and that too in lukewarm water. Always insert your elbow in the water to check the temperature of the water. The temperature of the water should be comfortable for the baby hence keep it in mind. Always do an oil massage of your baby and make sure after the bath all the oil should be washed out. The monsoons have moisture and humidity in the air, hence there is greater tendency of developing rash and insect bite. So prefer your baby to take bath when you feel your baby is dirty.

Avoid any bright neon colors of clothing as it might attract more insects and can cause increased incidences of insect bites. In order to avoid insects, burn an insect repellent in an adjoining room as the flames of the insect repellent might not be safe for your new born.
